Women’s Empowerment Talk Series:
Financial Talk for Women
As part of its Women’s Month celebration, the LLFC successfully hosted a Women Empowerment Talk Series, featuring a special session on financial literacy entitled "The Financial Talk for Women," conducted by renowned wealth coach Mr. Chinkee Tan on March 14, 2024. This initiative is part of LLFC’s ongoing commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment, in alignment with its Gender and Development (GAD) programs.
Mr. Chinkee Tan, a well-known financial expert and advocate for financial independence, delivered an insightful and inspiring talk, designed specifically to equip women with the knowledge and tools necessary to take control of their financial futures. The session covered essential topics such as budgeting, saving, and strategies for achieving long-term financial stability.
The talk emphasized the importance of financial empowerment for women, highlighting how financial literacy is a key element in fostering self-reliance, confidence, and the ability to make informed decisions. Stepback Leadership: Edition for Women Empowerment
The LLFC proudly hosted the "Stepback Leadership: Edition for Women Empowerment" on March 14, 2024, with leadership expert and motivational speaker Mr. Lloyd Luna. This event is a key part of LLFC’s ongoing Women Empowerment Talk Series, reinforcing the Corporation’s commitment to promoting gender equality and leadership development for women through its Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives.
Mr. Lloyd Luna, a well-known leadership coach and founder of the Stepback Leadership program, delivered a powerful and thought-provoking session tailored to empower women to embrace leadership from a different perspective. The Stepback Leadership philosophy emphasizes the importance of self-reflection, emotional intelligence, and leading with empathy and inclusivity—qualities that align closely with the goals of women’s empowerment.
During the talk, Mr. Luna explored how women can excel in leadership roles by leveraging their unique strengths, fostering collaborative environments, and leading with purpose. Women’s Run 2024
On March 3, 2024, the LBP Leasing and Finance Corporation proudly participated in the All Women Run Asia, a highly anticipated event promoting women’s empowerment through fitness. Hosted under the banner "Strong Bodies, Strong Minds," this run was a part of the larger advocacy to inspire women to embrace physical fitness as a means of building not only strong bodies but also strong, resilient minds.
The All Women Run Asia is an annual event with the mission to empower women by fostering an active, healthy lifestyle. The 2024 run gathered hundreds of women from different walks of life, all united in their pursuit of strength, health, and solidarity. De-stressing for Women’s Month Celebration
In celebration of Women’s Month 2024, the LLFC treated its employees to a day of relaxation and self-care by offering free massage and manicure/pedicure services on March 19, 2024. This initiative is part of LLFC's efforts to promote the well-being and work-life balance of its employees, while also recognizing the importance of self-care in fostering empowerment, both physically and mentally.

The GAD advocates of LLFC set up a photobooth for employees on March 19, 2024, adding an element of fun and creativity to the ongoing festivities. On March 24, 2023, LBP Leasing and Finance Corporation celebrated Women's Month in a delightful and relaxing manner. The Corporation organized a special event offering massages and nail cleaning to honor and appreciate its female employees. This activity created a serene atmosphere filled with soothing melodies and aromatic scents, allowing the hardworking women to unwind and rejuvenate. Through this gesture, the Corporation showcased its unwavering resolve to uplift women's well-being and duly acknowledge their invaluable contributions in the workplace. ONLINE WEBINAR
On March 29, 2023, a transformative online webinar was conducted as part of Women's Month celebrations. This insightful event featured two distinguished speakers, Ms. Kaye Ang and Dr. Rowena Maralit, who shared their expertise on topics vital to women's empowerment. Ms. Ang shed light on overcoming limiting beliefs, while Dr. Maralit delved into women's health, specifically feminine care, menstruation, and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Ms. Kaye Ang's session unleashed a surge of confidence, urging women to conquer self-imposed limits and seize boundless opportunities. Dr. Rowena Maralit's discourse on feminine care, menstruation, and PCOS armed women with knowledge, empowering them to reclaim control of their well-being. Through this online webinar, it epitomized women's empowerment, igniting a fire within each participant to overcome challenges and embrace their true potential.
PROMOTIONAL ITEMS
LBP Leasing and Finance Corporation successfully celebrated Women's Month with the engaging theme of "digitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality." As part of the celebration, employees were delighted to receive promotional items that highlighted the importance of equality and inclusivity. The “we gender equality and inclusive society” polo shirt served as a symbol of support and unity. A captivating roll-up banner showcased the theme, creating an inspiring visual display. The aesthetic themed color powerbank provided a practical yet stylish accessory for staying connected. NATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH
March 1-31, 2022
Proclamation No. 227 series of 1998 provides for the observance of the month of March as Women’s Role in History month while Republic Act 6949 series of 1990 declares March 8 of every year as International Women’s Day.
Nation-wide, the Women's Month Celebration has since functioned as a venue to showcase women's successes and address ongoing and developing women's empowerment and gender equality topics and concerns, difficulties, and commitments.
LBP Leasing and Finance Corporation (LLFC) for its Gender and Development has lined up activities to take part on the celebration aimed to highlight the empowerment of women as active contributors to and claimholders of development. These activities include the following:
- All LLFC employees were encouraged to wear of T-Shirts with a slogan “We Make Change Work for Women” to mark the celebration and all Fridays of March;
- Production and distribution of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) and Advocacy materials;
- Distribution of Spray Bottles and Eco-bags printed with “Women Make change”; and
- Conduct of Town Hall session by the Human Resource Unit which was 100% attended by LLFC employees.
18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women

ONLINE WEBINAR
On November 25, 2022, LBP Leasing and Finance Corporation conducted an insightful online webinar titled "Gender Based Violence during the Pandemic and its Aftermath on people's well-being." The webinar was presided over by Ms. Francesca Fugen, the co-founder of Sagip Babae Foundation. The event shed light on the alarming rise of gender-based violence during the pandemic and its enduring impact on individuals' overall well-being. Attendees were provided with valuable insights and practical solutions to combat this issue.
FILM SHOWING
From December 2 and 5, 2022, employees had the opportunity to watch the thought-provoking movie "Promising Young Woman," directed by Emerald Fennel. It is about a cheeky, tart and provocative tale of a woman reeling from the trauma of her best friend's sexual assault and subsequent suicide years earlier. The employees were provided with popcorn, ice cream, French fries, etc., during and after the film showing to focus, reflect, and enjoy the activity prepared for them, showing the Corporation's commitment to promoting gender equality and continues support and celebrate the achievements and struggles of women through impactful events and initiatives.
